My Why
Why dudeoir? For me, it is about beauty and sensuality of the nude male body. For me, it's also about our own personal journeys with body image, self-love, sexuality, gender-identity and gender-expression.
Growing up closeted & a recovering ex-ex-gay, anything to do with sex, sexuality, sensuality, or lust has come with a tremendous amount of shame and guilt. Part of my own art therapy is to embrace that darkness and pull it into the light. I do this with photography or art that begins with a photograph.
For me, dudeoir photography is also about empowering us as men to show up in our own skin quite literally. I love exploring light and shadows, masculine and feminine, and all the spectrums of humanity in between. I invite you to share your journey with me. Let's create some magical art together!
